Christopher Y. Lew

A former curator at the Whitney Museum of American Art and MoMA PS1, Christopher Y. Lew has organized major exhibitions including the 2017 Whitney Biennial and 2025 California Biennial and solo shows with artists such as Kevin Beasley, Nancy Grossman, Josh Kline, Pope.L, and Rachel Rose. Engaged with art and artists in the US and internationally, he served on influential juries like the Hugo Boss Prize (2019) and Korean Art Prize (2019-20), as well as the selection committees for the Philippine Pavilion at the Venice Biennale (2020) and the Toronto Biennial of Art (2024). Lew has contributed to several publications including ArtAsiaPacific, Art in America, Art Journal, Bomb, and Mousse.

As a leader in global contemporary art, Al-Khudhairi's curatorial achievements include prestigious international exhibitions including the 2025 Hawaii Triennial, the 2017 Asian Art Biennial, and the 2012 Gwangju Biennial. Her expertise extends to significant museum roles as Chief Curator at Contemporary Art Museum St. Louis and Curator at the Birmingham Museum of Art. Al-Khudhairi offers strategic and leadership skills honed as the founding director of Mathaf: Arab Museum of Modern Art in Qatar and through the Getty Leadership Institute and the Center for Curatorial Leadership programs.
